摘要: The low Mach number limit and the inviscid limit are two important singular limits in fluid mechanics. In this talk, we will first review previous findings on these two singular limits for the compressible Navier-Stokes system in a domain with boundaries. Next, we will present a recent result that involves imposing no-slip boundary conditions, where the boundary layer effects are much stronger and require different techniques than those used in earlier studies. These will be based on the joint works with Professors N. Masmoudi, F. Rousset, C. Wang, Z. Zhang.
